The Bloomington-Normal Community Land Trust held our monthly Board meeting on 4/7/26. Here are a few highlights:
Discussed the latest on Illinois Senate Bill 3169 which would create a CLT Housing Trust Fund through a Short-Term Rental tax and generate approximately $11 million per year for an IL Community Land Trust Fund, pre-development tax abatement for CLT homes, and an IHDA contact for CLT technical assistance. Attached is additional information.
Here are a few highlights: Discussed the latest on Illinois Senate Bill 3169 including our Day of Advocacy in Springfield on March 25 in which we reached over 40 legislators through our CLT Organizing Table team.

Planned our 1st Annual Gala scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the Chateau in Bloomington from 5 to 9 PM. The cost will be $125 per person.

Unpacked the latest on the Project Pipeline Work Plan steps that need to be completed before 6/30/2026 in order to close on a home.
