GOALS
Short (2-3 years): BNCLT’s short term goal over the next 2-3 years is to establish the structure of the Community Land Trust (CLT), increase community exposure and education of the CLT, identify and secure funding resources, and acquire and rehabilitate its first single-family property. BNCLT will identify data, research and resources that result from the Community Land Trust Force Act established through SB 2037 signed into Illinois law on June 30, 2023.
Intermediate (5-10 years): BNCLT’s Board of Directors will have equal representation between the officers, community organizations/institutions and lessees/renters and will have all board vacancies filled. BNCLT will hire a part-time assistant as the Executive Director.
Long (10+ years): BNCLT will acquire single-family homes and multi-family homes for the purpose of maintaining perpetual affordability for lessees and renters. BNCLT will possess full-staff capacity.
